As promised, I wanted to give you an unbiased review of Sonic Producer, some online software for making and producing beats, loops, hip hop online. I’m going to give you what is good and what’s not for me. As this is a review you may wanna go straight to Sonic Producer, if so click here

Sonic Producer is an online beat making tool. You subscribe through the website and have access to all the resources there. There are thousands of sounds, instruments, beats, clips and you can even learn how to plan other instruments. There’s some stuff I liked and some stuff I didn’t so here we go with my thoughts.

What I liked:

After joining the site you get access to everything. I’m talking about the production software, the instruments, the drum machines and also other members who will help with beats, loops and music production. You can start straight away. They’ve got video tutorials to show you how to make and produce music and use the software all good to get you started.

There are a lot of instruments and beats available, ranging from Spanish guitar to piano, drums, kicks, snares and many more. It’s perfect to get started producing rap beats. Uploading samples is easy too.

The interface is easy to use. You can create and save projects and also export your own beats to MP3 so sharing your loops is easy. As the beat software is online it’ll work on any computer (PC or MAC)

Not so Good:

The help and support is good but maybe phone support would help too. When recording music sometimes it’s good to pick up the phone to get a quick answer. That said the email response is quick.

As the beatmaker is online software, you can get problems with connections. What’s good is you can access it from anywhere but if your net connection is poor then producing music online is no good.

As sonic producer uses MP3 for it’s format, you won’t get the best format for producing rap beats. That said, to get started and given so many people use MP3 it’s great to get started.
